The issue occurs when have used your Kohls cash on another purchase and returned the original item that you earned Kohl's cash from. Kohl's will reduce your return amount by the Kohl's cash amount and reduce the tax amount refunded to the customer by the Kohl's cash amount.

This should be against the law.

Think of the millions of dollars that Kohl's is making off of customer returns annually. There should be a class action lawsuit against Kohl's for out right stealing from the general public.

Product or Service Mentioned: Kohls Cash Rewards Program.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

I didn't like: Stealing from the general public, Customer service.

10 $ Kohls cash is a “gift” to you for a 50$ purchase before taxes. Kohls cash can not be taxed since it is a “ gift” .

Example .. if you have a 10$ kohls cash you can purchase a 10$ item for exactly 10$ Of Kohls cash. No taxes !! Example 2 ..

if you made a 12$ purchase and you used 10$ kohls cash , not taxed! But the 2$ that will be out of pocket for you ,would be taxed.

Kohl's cannot take back the item(s) you purchased with Kohl's cash, but by returning item(s) that originally earned you the Kohl's you have now dropped below the threshold to have earned that cash in the first place... So, yes, they are going to take it off the refund. Certainly not against the law.

Yep, it's a scam. You, and only you figured it out.

That's the only thing that makes sense.

It's a multi-million dollar scam perpetrated by one of the most popular retailers in America, that you, and only you, have figured out. Good job.
