Kohls - Treated like a criminal by Khol's fraud dept
I applied on line for a Kohls charge, was approved, I ordered some merchandise to be shipped to an address different from my billing address. turned over to fraud dept, who were very rude.
I said fine, keep your *** stuff and close my account. I cant close my account without going into a store or faxing in documents. nearest store is 2 hours away. so ***.
I don't want their stuff, no fraud. I didn't have to prove my identity to get card, now it is stuck on my credit record and I cant use it. it is the principle of the thing.
I don't want the merchandise now. how can they force me to keep it open???
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $218.
Preferred solution: close my account.
Kohls Cons: Being treated like a criminal.

I agree. For someone who says they have used a lot of credit cards, and still have gotten into this mess, means that they actually don't know what's going on.
How can you lack so much knowledge?
And don't reply back angry like everyone else. Be rational, if you can.
Why are you complaining about this? Coming here and crying about how you didn't take the time to read the agreement before signing off won't solve the situation. Judging by the way you talk to people here to try and help and the people at Kohl's explains to me why they 'treated you like a criminal.'
As you can see by the comments, no one is feeling sympathy for you because of YOUR lack of reading and comprehension skills when it comes to signing up for a credit card. Instead of acting like a self-entitled, spoiled little kid, you should READ the terms and conditions of the account before spouting off hate and curse words.
No you CAN use it, just not the WAY you wish to use it. All of this because YOU want the package sent to an address which is NOT listed on your application.
To THEM that stinks of IDENTITY THEFT and THEY are just trying to protect YOU from having to PAY a giant bill BECAUSE someone got a hold of YOUR card information. For someone who SUPPOSEDLY read the terms and condition of having THAT card YOU are acting a LOT like a spoiled CHILD!!! If this is THAT important to you then YOU have the item YOU want to order sent to YOUR address and THEN send it yourself. YOU are WHINING because THEY are trying to protect YOU AND THEMSELVES!!!
But YOUR self entitlement wont let YOU accept this. YOUR self entitlement causes YOU to act out and BLAME innocent people BECAUSE you ARE self entitled. Get over it, YOU have NOT been ripped off in ANY way.
THEY just wont let YOU order a item and send it to a different address then the one YOU have on file. I swear those special snowflakes just WILL NOT accept REALITY!!!!
Credit cards come with information for you to read for a reason. Just because you choose to not take the time to read what you're signing away your life for, it doesn't mean you get to sit here and cry like a child, because you didn't get your way.
What the *** are you talking about? Do you troll this site trying to make situations worse?
I applied for a card they won't let me use.
That's what I'm really mad about. Get a *** life you piece of ***
You sound angry.
Read the agreement next time and stop whining because you can't follow the rules that you signed up for.
*** you. I have a card i cant use.
What should I do?
Throw a godamn party. *** off
You really need to stop acting like a child and learn from your mistakes. This is why you are getting into these situations and are having issues.
Perhaps you should read the credit agreement next time before just signing up for a credit card. Maybe then you would see 1) The Kohls credit card is handled by Capital One and perhaps they can provide service Kohls cannot. 2) " We may require you to provide a closure request in writing."
Perhaps Kohls should stop issuing credit cards online if you have to go thru hoops to prove your identity to get merchandise shipped to you and you miss out on a great deal that tempted you into applying for the card in the first place. I wouldn't mind writing a letter to close the account, but I'm not faxing Id cards, copies of bills, etc.
To close an account.
I am 77 years old and have 3 other store credit cards issued by capital one and a car loan with capital one. I don't just sign up for credit cards.
It sounds like you have expierence with credit cards and yet you got yourself in this mess. Sounds like you're lying.
And you sound like a ***
