Went to Kohls to register for Bridal Reg. and of course after waiting a long time I find out that no one charged the 5 hand held scanners so I asked them to call another Kohls to make sure their scanners were fully charged and ready to scan.

Guess what? Yes, I drove to the other side of town to find out they didn't charge their scanners either. Now I am spent between travel time, etc. approx.

1 1/2 hours and nothing accomplished yet. They charged a scanner for me and about one more hour later I started scanning my wish list. Well at my shower I received 4 waffle makers, 4 rice cookers, 4 sets of pots and pans.....get the picture. KOHLS NEVER TOOK ANYTHING OFF THE REGISTRY.

My guests were all floored and all started sharing their tails of horror to simply have a gift removed from the registry.......they said it was like pulling teeth but was guaranteed "No problem mam, it's off the registry". So the moral of this story is if you want to have your guest spend their valuable time and several more of your hours returning 16 gifts I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. The kicker is that when I called Kohls Corporate office and advised them the representative felt sooooo badly for me that she COULDN'T even offer me a $10.00 Kohls cashโ€ฆโ€ฆ.nothing except a thank you for calling!!!!

Do yourself a favor and register at Bed, Bath and Beyond who couldn't do enough for you!! Kohls Corporate I hope you read this and are ashamed at your poor behavior!

I did not have a problem with Kohl's marking gifts off the registry as purchased when they were purchased in stores. However, when my bridal shower guests ordered gifts online and shipped them to themselves so that they could bring them to the shower, they were not removed from the registry.

I am now expecting to receive at least 4 of the same comforter that were all purchased before I was aware of the issue. I contacted customer service, and they informed me that there is no way for online purchases to be linked to the registry they were ordered from if the gifts are not shipped to the address provided by the registered couple.

This makes no sense since most people prefer to ship shower gifts to themselves if they are planning to attend the shower. Also, it would be okay if the website or order confirmation email alerted customers to this issue and told them to contact customer service to request the items be removed from the registry, but everyone just assumed the gifts would be removed from the registry once the order was processed.

I totally regret registering there. I had many of those problems AND they change their stock so much that my registry was bare within two months and I had to go through that process AGAIN.

Their online registry management is TERRIBLE as well. Will not register here for a baby.

Same exact problem here. I even bought a little something online (myself) seeing if there really was a problem (since so many people said they bought from kohl's and nothing was showing that it had been bought) and it's still showing on the registry.

I hope I don't end up with 4 mixers and a million towels. Get it together Kohl's!

I'm having the EXACT same problem. My fiancรฉ and I have our registry there.

We had received a gift card and we wanted to buy something from the registry. Our registry said we had only received one gift (obviously a lie). First of all the manager was so rude to us I wanted to delete the registry right there. Anyways, I pushed aside that our items aren't showing up.

I picked something from the registry to purchase (at this time I don't believe the cashier knew it was my own registry) she scanned the paper registry over and over again and the system would give an error. I explained that we had been having problems with the items not showing p as purchased, and she just shrugged and said "oh well".

Needless to say, the item I purchased did NOT show up as purchased AND I need to call customer service to do it for me since no one else can. I need to go item by item so they can show it as purchased.

I showed customer service the registry list and specifically asked her to remove the item I purchased so no one else will purchase it. She scanned the item but did not remove it off the list.

I went to the registry and it still shows the item has not been completed. Hope the bride does not recieve a bunch of the same thing.

Same thing in Pittsburgh. All the guests had the registry scanned.

In hind sight, Kohl's know what it is doing by not removing purchased gifts from the registry.

They just want to sell more merchandise. To heck with customer service.

Why would she offer you $10 Kohls cash? Did those who purchased the items for you present the registry to the checker to ensure that the registry was scanned to remove the item(s)?

1. you could have done the registry online

2.

if your gift givers didn't give us the registry to scan or tell us it was a gift off a registry, there's no way to mark it off the registry. likewise, this certainly could have been the cashiers fault as well.

how to tell? if your gift-giver didn't give you a gift receipt, it didn't get scanned off the registry.
