Is anyone else tired of seeing Kohls ads with clothing or other items you'd like to buy only to find out you can't locate it online? I wanted to buy myself a mother's day gift of a jewelry set. Blue topaz necklace, earring and ring, yet there is no choice...

Hey are worse than ever!!!!! I was away supporting our disabled troops, 60 days, when I return I found a letter in the mail asking me to verify my address.

I have had account for 3 years, never been late, always carried low or zero balance. I called them to see what was up and they said "you took to long to respond we closed your account last week" After talking to a supervisor who I explained situation too she said looks like there is nothing wrong with your account it should be able to reopened.. someone will call you in next 24-48 hours ... a week later I get a letter saying they can not reopen it because I do not meet the requirements to reopen!!!!

What the heck I did not do anything but support them!!! Enough of them ...

shopping elsewhere. I bet if I carried a balance they wouldn't have closed it!!!!!!

Posted "sale" sign with only 1 item meeting sale criteria

Buyer Beware! I am "experienced shopper" and I was fooled. I was shopping at Kohl's dept store and there was a sign above 2 racks of men's pants. The sign said $24.99, reg $65.00. I grabbed 2 pr of pants and tried to scan them myself. Unable to find the scanner I approached an employee who had a portable scanner. The pants scanned $38.00. I asked him to come with me and I showed him the racks where the pants and sign had been. He pointed out the "reg price" for the pants on sale was $55. He was correct - but there was literally only 1 pair of pants on those racks with that price. Every other pair of pants were $65. So, granted....I should have looked at the "reg price" and not assume that all the pants on those racks were on sale for $24.99. BUT, the point is - the way it was advertised and WHERE they placed the sign you ASSUME all the pants are those racks are on sale for $24.99. I explained that to him and asked to speak to a manager so I could voice my concern...he explained he WAS the manager of the dept and he agreed with me and honored the price of $24.99. MY POINT - buyer beware....if this is a marketing ploy it's deceitful and unethical. So, keep your eyes open when your purchases are being rung up or you may find yourself a victim of the same thing.

Sometimes customers (not saying you) switch the signs to get a better deal for example, the pants were Levi orignal price: 58.00, sale price: 24.00 however someone could switch them with a urban pipeline jeans that is a lower a price claiming to rip off the company. Anyway, either a customer was trying to switch the signs to get a better deal or the employee put it in the wrong spot. Must of been nice that he honored the price for even though you claim to be a experience shopper and then turn around and back stab good customer service try getting that same service somewhere else.

#491029

Dude, you made my day. Often customers do change signs and then throw a fit until they get their way. Learn to read the signs "experienced shopper" and you would not be caught offguard.

#327252

in a store like kohls prices change many times freight comes in alot and it is very difficult for the associates to handle the amount of merchandise coming in .. things are are put on "racks" and sometimes are signed wrong but prices are always honored at the registers

#305866

Employees are human, as you see they are paper signs that are made and put out by employees. I am pretty positive they did not intentionally put the wrong sign up. People are so quick to make assumptions.

#286796

There was only one on the rack because they were on sale, the rest got bought quickly, just like everything else on sale. The other merchandise is on the rack to not make it look empty, and yes the signs can be a little confusing but shop with a little common sense and you can get great deals. In other words always read the fine print.

#286610

I do this all the time. I go take a sign from another fixture and replace it.

Ant how, those days are almost up. They are about to go to electronic signs.

Didnotn uphold their hassle free return policy

My aunt sent me and mine a margeritta maker for a wedding gift. we would never have a need for the item, all i ever hear on kholes comercials is how they have a hassle free return policy, return any item any time for any reason. whenever i went to return the margeritta maker they said it would be a corperate return, gave me a recipt took the merchandise, and gave me a recipt, and told me that they would contact me in 7 to 10 days. when i contacted them on the tenth day, they asked me who bought me the machine, i gave them that info. because they couldnt find my aunt in the system so they wanted me to mcontact her and find out where she got the machine. i have to admit i was suprised when i found out how much it cost, but after thinking about it for a while and talking it over with my wife we decided that it would be pretty hipacritical thing to do, especially after she thought enough about me to get me that type of gift. i told the costomer rep how i felt, she told me that if i refused to provide her with that info that it would delay my return, i asked her about their policy, she told me to call her back in three working days and they would have something figured out. when i contacted them in three days they told me that since i couldnt provide them with the proof of the purchase that they would be giving me back the machine, at this time i was out of town and asked if my dad could pick up the item she said no and that if i couldnt pick it up in adequit time that i would forfiet my return.

ummm if I tear a shirt I just bought from the kohls and my mother stitches it up, I highly doubt Kohls would reimburse me for the needle and thread. Thats NOT any stores policy. This is Kohls not a car dealership..they dont insure items!

You could have returned them or exchanged them for a full refund!

MSRP stands for Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. Suggested.

Manufacturers then sell to stores at a wholesale price and the stores have the option to sell items at whatever prices the market will bear. This is what retail is. It's why you're taught to shop around for the best prices.

It's why you have things like coupons to attract you to one store over another. What is with all the weird whining over MSRP???

Kohl's Gift Registry Sucks!

Made a purchase from a wedding gift registry. Wanted it to be a shower gift. Clicked "Make this a gift". Small package perhaps 10 x 12 - I was able to get a gift card but could not get it wrapped and to top it off it could only be sent to the brides house. Was told by customer service that it was their policy to ship it to the bride only! Also no gift wrap for large packages! Where on the website does it say any of that??? An unwrapped gift WOW does this make me look like an ***! THANKS KOHL'S

Printed the registry in store-they didn't have half the items in stock, and no way to know that. Tried to order from store for free shipping, but kiosk was broken.

Placed web order from home through registry website, clicked the box for Shipping Address same as Billing Address- and package was shipped to the bride and groom a month before the wedding!

Now I have to show up empty handed to the ceremony?! NOT PLEASED!!!

@PissedConsumer640377

Most couples prefer gifts sent to the house instead of the ceremony, then they don't have to wotty about transporting the gifts.

#520945

Found out the same thing the hard way. Several guests intended to have gifts shipped to them, but Kohl's shipped direct to the bride instead, without notification of same.

When the guest called Kohl's in inquire where the gift was, Kohl's didn't even know where the gift was shipped. At the shower, we also found out that Kohl's does not bother to remove purchased gifts from the registry. Many, many duplicate gifts from Kohl's.

(And yes, they were all scanned from the registry list at checkout. We are consumers, we are NOT ***.)

Kohls Gift Card

Rec'd order from Kohls; items just thrown in box. .

I ordered 8 sweaters from Kohls' online. When I received the package, I opened it to find the sweaters were all just thrown into the box. There was no packaging material to even attempt to protect the merchandist. I couldn't enjoy pulling them out of the box because they were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooowrinkled. So before I wear them, they'll all have to be steamed. I've never seen anything like it. They were just thrown in the box. Kohls' has the worst shipping department EVER and I've ordered a lot of merchandise online! Especially not their clothes because it's obvious they do not care!

1: Kohl's call center is in Wisconsin. The calls are not outsourced in any way.

2: What companys president is available to be contacted?

They are busy and have people, EVPs, VPs, Directors, and managers below them to take care of your problem.

You will never talk to the president of a company.

3: Good riddance. Nobody wants someone like you for a customer anyway.

False info given by kohls customer call ctr.

MY kohls payment due date is the 5th of every month, but i had a financial problem and I called Kohls customer call center on the 4th and explained my situation, and i told him i would have money to make my payment on the 8th, 3 days after my due date, the guy at the call the center stated "it was no problem he would be able to extend my due date to the 8th but i had to make sure to pay it on the 8th or else i would incur late fees", i told him that i would make my payment on the 8th, and all this was recorded. I called kohls today, i had a late fee, collections said they would remove the late fee if i payed my past due amount and february's payment, but if i didn't they wouldn't do anything, but all this because someone at the call center assured me this wouldn't happen, that i would be okay, Y DOES KOHLS HIRE PEOPLE THAT WILL MISREPRESENT THE ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE COMPANY, I HAVE TO PAY THIS WHEN IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!!

Kohl's San Rafael - A Horrible Place to Work & Shop!

I recently worked at Kohl's for two weeks (I made the mistake of choosing Kohl's to work at at Christmas instead of somewhere else. There is the sadly mis-named manager Grace, who yells at employees in front of customers! I was told (by Grace) to go to the men's department after I was done with my current customer. My customer had a question, I called the office and Grace said "I'm not coming downstairs again, she can go upstairs to customer service". Then I convinced the customer to open a Kohl's charge card and was in process of doing that, when Grace came to my station and yelled "You're still with the same customer!! I told you to go to men's!" The customer then said - "she's doing a great job (meaning me)! After that customer, I did go to the men's department where I waited on nobody for an hour - there was nobody shopping at the men's registers! Also, I was threatened with termination 3 times in the first week, once for taking my lunch (on my first full time day) a half hour after Kohl's likes you to take it - I had to sign a form and they said if I got 2 more warnings, I would be terminated! Then they called me to the Loss Prevention Department and I thought what the *** do they think I did, it turns out (after a half hour interigation, that I accepted a Kohl's coupon, that a nice couple gave me, saying they would be out of town and could not use it!) They never told me we that was a no no! And they pay minimum wage in the wealthiest county in the USA! As a co-worker put it, I wouldn't have my dog work at Kohl's!!

Your wrong :)

#399075

I'm sorry but what your sister is trying to do sounds more like FRAUD to me than the store trying not to get raped. I'm sorry her husband has cancer, but that doesn't give her the right to writing her own reward cash check!!!If everyone made a purchase on their card and in return for that purchase, the get Kohls cash...HELLO, it\'s not really cash...

That\'s like buying a monopoly game at toys r us and then trying to go pay your toys r us account with the monopoly money!!!!I\'m surprised they didn\'t just take the Kohls cash items back. They gave you a store credit, when in reality you returned the items that earned you the kohls cash.I own a business and deal with people trying to cry foul on stuff like this all the time.So let\'s get this straight she spent A and earned B beacsue of buying A... She returns A so technically she should lose B because the first transaction earned the 2nd. Kohls is supposed to eat it..

They would be out of business if they actually let people do that.I\'m stunned that people have the audacity to go online and write a nasty review, when you guys were trying to cheat the store... beat the system.Like I said... you got more than you shoul have if they gave you a store!Get off your high horse.... you were NOT WRONGED in any manner...

you owe the store an apology and the poor woman that waited on you guys... I\'m sure you made her life...ahhhh pleasent!

#399067

Boy, i did a Google search to get the phone number for the San Rafael store and happened upon this site.

Being unbiased and just reading these posts... I have to side with the gal who spoke of her experience working there. All responses to her appropriate and not childish in tone at all post drew really nasty, mean, gang or pack mentality. Immature and attacking oin tone nature and word.

I'd hate to be an new employee there, it usually takes a good 2 weeks to learn the ropes and policies no matter where you start a new job.

I'm a business owner (a hign end service biz) and college educated, and have to say that I wouldn't nesessarily automatically assume that I couldn't keep a coupon that a customer gave you. Loss Prevention because she accepted a coupon and didn't know??? but to call a fellow working girl, woman old lady, whatever... to call someone a "***" is just so ill-mannered. Why are you people working with the public??? You don't sound pleasent, patient or to even like people... not real reflective of being a "people person".

We are all trying to make a living in tough times.... you work for a large corporation. And Managers are the ones in charge; but sometimes managers get a little power hungry and don't always treat their crew with respect and common courtesy.

No employee should be yelled at, threatened or even corrected or repremanded in front of your customers.

However, "COMMONS SENSE" goes a lot further than your use of the word....common Sense to me is making your workplace relationship as pleasent as possible... Try to help you fellow sister instead of knock her down. thast kind of thinking asnd words y'all are putting out will only draw negativity and strife everywhere you go. You should all stop and think about how lucky you are to have jobs and should be kind to your customers and your co-workers. On the human factor level we're all equal.

Be respectful... some of you sound like pissy know it alls and I wouldn't want to work with or shop with mean girls either. Play nice ladies! Come on, give each other a little break... BE KIND, and others will be kinder to you than you could ever immagine!

#343280

The sad thing is that you 2 idiots can not understand that this was an inexperienced employee who lacked the proper training by the company. The company is at fault for not training them properly. I have been in a few Kohls stores and it is easy to recognize the lack of training offered by Kohls.

#227589

Yep, a sad excuse for a 2 week employee!

#227243

Where were you opening the Kohls charge? You should have taken it to the men's register and done it there because you may have left the registers without anyone there causing customers to not be able to check out there.

It's inconvenient for customers so you got yelled at because of that. When your manager tells you something, you do it.It's not the issue of not taking your lunch on time, you screwed up the break schedule for everyone else on your shift. Your fault, not the companies. You should have taken your break at the time that it said on the break sheet (it's posted EVERYWHERE you can't miss it.

All stores are the same when it comes to that) and it's COMMON sense to NEVER take a coupon from a customer.

You put it in your media folder. Don't be a ***, your experience was your fault.

You are so correct. kohls cares nothing about all the stress we encounter waiting on packages and then When I got mine, the merchandise was defective, wrong sizes etc.

Etc. I asked for a ups pickup - that was two weeks ago and nothing! My chrage card has been charged and I need my money! The lad rep I tried to get help from rudely told me all companies are having problems with this stuff and no one would rectify it in one day.

I told her that was odd, because I just had two lovely companies issue a recall online label or pickup in one hour!

She basically told me to yup know what...I hung up. I will never shop at Kohls agsin.....I have been a good customer in store for many years...how sad.
