Worst online shopping sight

In the past I really liked Kohls but now they suck. I have always shopped for my shoes at Kohl's but now they never have my size (12).

So I go on their site which sucks, try to ship to my store won't let me. Also won't let me use my coupon and site won't tell ne why. After several minutes on live chat sorry that product is excluded.

Every time I have tried to place an order on-line with Kohls it is a pain. I would rather give my local stores my business but I find myself needing to use Amazon more and more.

worst website ever!! It has too much visual clutter.

Difficult to work through. Passwords have to be set and reset. I give my business to Amazon rather than go through the Kohls website.

I have to have one set of passwords to shop and another to set to pay my Kohls charge. NOT WORTH IT.

I can't believe this! Not everything works with coupons!

There are brands that want to keep their name at high value. Obviously you don't understand this and you are SO LOW CLASS! You can't get things for cheap just because a paper says so! Things are excluded and that is how it works in life!

It is everywhere! Grow up!

Well when the customer are going to act like a child and get mad and angry over something the employees and the managers cannot override . Then they have a right to call them out and confront them. It looks like nobody has taught you and educate you onto that!

They really suck. They RIP customers off with their so called "Kohls Cash"Will never shop with them ever again.Spread the word to everyoneThey charge full price ,then use their K. Cash, then make you pay back full price. RIP OFF.DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY FOR NOTHING.ESPECIALLY IF YOU BUY ON LINE THE FIRST TIME,AND DONT KNOW THEIR HIDDEN POLICY

OH WOW! So you are saying that if they give you free cash (Kohl's Cash) to use after you bought something, that you are not entitled to this if you return the merchandise?!?!

What an idiot! Do you not see how you are reason why this world is just so stupid! YOU CANNOT BUY SOMETHING AND EXPECT TO GET THINGS FREE. In this case, I would be a billionaire from day one.

Buy $1,000,000 worth of merchandise - get $200,000 in Kohl's Cash. Return the original $1,000,000 and I get free $200,000 to use on anything. NOW DO YOU SEE YOU IDIOT! You can't earn free stuff.

Get a job, grow up, and work hard like the rest of us real people! You are worthless!

Are you a Kohl’s executive? Why do you keep blaming the customer as if *they caused their own problem*?

Guest

Just because someone is commenting does not mean they are from the company or the store. Looks like you need to have someone explain that you.

Customers like you are not worth it if all you're going to act like that.

Any employee or manager that has to deal with you should be rewarded for putting up with you. You should let the door hit onto the way out to make you understand you're not welcomed back!

Rebate experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In this day and age of technology, Kohls should have individuals who work for them that can program their registers not to print off rebate information for purchases that are going to be denied. If a purchase window is only good for 11/26 and 11/27, then don't advertise all over the store about rebates and and have your registers print off the information at checkout for a purchase made on 11/23. This is extremely misleading to consumers to bait them to make certain purchases expecting the advertised benefits when they would have chosen to make a different brand purchase! I have closed my Kohls account and will not shop there any more for their unethical practices after being a long standing customer for decades.

Did not meet GUARANTEED XMAS DEADLINE and ruined granddaughters Christmas!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Will never use or go to Kohls again!!! Ordered boots for granddaughters xmas gift on 12/17/18.

Guaranteed delivery 12/21-12/24. 12/18 order fulfilled and ups label created. 12/19, 12/20, 12/21 - no change to status. Still showing UPS label created.Called and chatted 4 times - GUARANTEED 12/24 delivery.

Chatted again 12/24 and still GUARANTEED 12/24 delivery. Never received. Granddaughter had no gift to open.Called 12/26 - on the phone for over 1 hour. Told that item was not in stock - so I had been LIED to the entire time???

Would not make any compensation except to issue credit , which I had already been charged for and received monthly statement with that item on it, and 200 rewards points. Absolutely unacceptable!! I will be closing my Kohls charge and NEVER GOING OR ORDERING from Kohls again.

I could have ordered boots from other sites but trusted Kohls to provide the best service!! WRONGGG!!!!

So you seriously believe a store will pay you $500 for taking a survey? Perhaps it was that they’ll enter you into a drawing for a chance at a $500 gift card if you took the survey. Try to understand what you read.

Promises not kept

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Kohl’s published that items ordered on line by 11:59 on 12/19/2018 would be guaranteed to be received by Dec 24th. I purchased a train for a child’s XMAS on 12/28/2018 at approx 10 AM.

Received an email that the package label was created and was shipped on 12/19/2918 and provided a UPS tracking number. The Kohl’s site still cited delivery between 21-24 December. UPS tracking cited a delivery date of 12/26/2018 and continues to change daily (12/27 and 12/28). I contacted Kohl’s.com numerous times only to be told that I should not have been promised delivery before XMAS - even though I have copies of the ad as well as that promise is also on the receipt.

The local store asset managers were of zero help even tho they promised receipt before XMAS (San Diego Balbia store - Zach, Teague Senniger and another female who did not provide her name).

When I asked what Kohl’s was going to go about not living up to their promise, they indicated that I should just wait and see if it arrived before XMAS, and if not, they would refund my money.

This was a XMAS gift for a child!!!!!

DONT EVER BELIEVE OR TRUST KOHLS OR THEIR PROMISES. THEY DO NOT CARE!!’n

Kohls cancelled my order

I placed an order for a pair of shoes and a movie projector. The order was received, and then I received a follow up email that there was a problem with my order and to call them. I called them and they wanted to require further verification to place the order. I do ALOT of online ordering, I have NEVER been flagged to provide further information regarding my payment or identity. Once I spent nearly TWENTY minutes on the phone with the customer service person who could barely understand what I was saying, he proceeded to tell me that the shoes that I had ordered are no longer available. He stated that it is not their policy to hold items once they were cancelled. Hello!? I didn't cancel my order, they just sent me an email stating there was an issue. I find it absolute *** that they flagged my order to begin with, and then sold my shoes that I paid for to someone else. I requested to talk to a manager, and she wasn't helpful either. Basically I can still get the projector, but they don't have the shoes that I wanted. They need to work on their customer service and online ordering. If they need further verification prior to placing the order, they need to do it at the time of ordering, not sending a email later on requesting for you to call them, and in the meantime selling your items to someone else. Wtf

I kept getting the wrong color of the item I ordered. I was told that they would send a message to the warehouse that the item was mislabeled and hopefully I would get the color I wanted. She gave me an incident number 181222****77. When I called back today to check on the new order I was told nothing could be done to get me the right order and my account was credited for the wrong item. I was very disappointed that I could not receive the color I wanted.

Great experience - love KOHL's

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am writing a review not to complain but to plead and beg you to consider opening a KOHL's Store in Kearney, NE! Herberger's in Kearney has closed and there isn't a good department store, like KOHL's, in Kearney now.

KOHL's is a great store to shop in and is about a 40 minute drive from Kearney. Kearney is a growing town with the University of Nebr at Kearney here and is in the center of a lot of small communities who come to Kearney for the HyVee Grocery store as well as other needs they have. Even tho our population may come into play, Kearney is a vital community that warrants a good department store like KOHL's.

PLEASE GIVE US SOME THOUGHT AND MAKE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAPPY TO SEE KOHL's COME TO KEARNEY!

Thank you. Jane Arthur, Kearney, NE

I wish Kohl's would come to Kearney NE. I live in Holdrege and Shopko is closing soon and Kearney would be the next best place to shop for our needs.

It is inconvenient to drive to GI.

Many of my rural friends also shop in Kearney and would like to see a big dept.store to open up in Kearney. ...karen

Online ordering process

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Placed an order using accrued Kohl's cash. Received a further email that the order was canceled. Called. They asked a number of security questions to verify that I had placed the order. At the end of the numerous questions they needed to text me a code. I gave them 2 different numbers to text and I didn't receive any code. At this point, I was told that in order to process the order I would need to take the order into the store with several forms of id and get it processed that way. Taking several hours out of my day to go and place an order at the store is not the way I wanted to spend an afternoon. After reviewing online consumer complaints, it's clear they don't want to honor the order and redeem the Kohl's cash With so many retail options, I will no longer be shopping at Kohl's.

Ordered a pair of riding boots for my wife for Christmas last weekend. Our local store is closed do to hurricane Michael. Arrived this Thursday. I open the package the boot box was smashed and torn. Not that big off deal. Till I opened the box, I was looking for 2 boots my shock there was only one boot. I talked to 3 associates hoping to get another set over nighted at their cost in time for Christmas. I was told they could get them here between the 28th of December and January 4th. I told them this was there fault and should make it right. But still told the dates above. In my frustration the oreder is canceled. I called again today hoping for some resolve. I asked to get the boots and have Kohl’s overnight them. I was told that the a refund had been issued and I would have to purchase again and pay 29 dollars to get them by Christmas. So now I’m stuck wit one boot to give my wife for Christmas. Thanks for not helping

Kohls does not offer even exchanges!!

I bought a bunch of toys on 8/7 for which I earned Kohls cash.

I did not like one of the toys I received, a Fisher-Price toy. The original MSRP of the toy was $49.99 when I purchased the item. So, I intended to make an even exchange for another $49.99 MSRP Fisher-Price toy in store (that I could have purchased in my original transaction for the same price of the toy I had intended to exchange).

However, when I went to exchange the toy only a few days after receiving it on 8/18, Kohl's would not allow me to do an even exchange because the MSRP was lowered to $39.99. I even had a receipt that showed the original MSRP of $49.99! But, it didn't matter, because the new MSRP was in their system....I was given the option of exchanging the toy for another fisher-pricd toy at $39.99 or accepting $7 for the return (minus the Kohl's cash I earned). None of the other $49.99 Fisher-price toys were devalued to $39.99 and there were no other toys available at that price point to do an even exchange for.

I think Kohl's should honor the value of the product (MSRP) from when you purchased it. So, now I'm stuck with a defective toy or not receiving much in return (negating all the category discounts and great deal I thought I was getting by purchasing a certain dollar quantity). It makes me want to return the whole transaction. And, not shop there so much.

Also, baby clothes returns have been a nightmare! Even exchange only applies if the exact style is still sold at regular price. So, if you want to do an even exchange 2 or 3 months past the purchase date, Kohl's most likely has a new season of Carters clothes in stock and will not even exchange. For instance. I wanted instance I wanted to exchange one $26 pack of Carters 5 pack onesies for another $26 pack in a different size. I even had my original receipt to show that I bought them at $26 .

However, I was denied an even exchange and only offered a paltry refund (minus the Kohl's cash i earned and category discount coupon used). So, it wasn't worth returning for under a $1.

If these items were received as gifts, Kohl's would still not have exchanged them. With a gift receipt, I would have only received under a $1 (assuming the original purchaser spent their Kohl's cash) or under $2 of merchandise credit (since items were now clearanced).

Bottom line: Even exchanges are a joke. The product you are exchanging must still be for sale at full price irregardless of receipts or proof of purchase.

Your item (MSRP) may be devalued anytime after purchase. It doesn't matter if you have proof of purchase (receipts) and proof of the original MSRP value that you purchased the item at. The MSRP that you purchased the item at will not be honored and you will not be able to even exchange because your item is now suddenly worth less than what you paid for.

Returns ARE a big hassle. Do not shop in confidence.

I have a new house and a new baby. I buy a lot from Kohls and I rarely exchange or return anything.

But, as I consider purchasing more toys, baby gear, baby clothes and home goods, I will be less likely to purchase from Kohls.

If I need to exchange an item that was defective, broken, wrong size, etc., suddenly my entire purchase (including the rest of my purchased items in the transaction) doesn't seem like such a great deal when an even exchange is not a viable option and all discounts and Kohls cash are subtracted from the one item that can only be returned for next to nothing.

I can't even resell the Fisher Price toy on eBay because it arrived packed in a plastic bag with no padding and was totally banged up. Not that I wanted to have to deal with reselling anyway.

And, I'm stuck with a bunch of baby clothes (purchased within the past few months) that don't fit my baby. Even though, I was assured that I would be able to even exchange them. Unfortunately, I cannot just return everything because the items that I wish to exchange come from different transactions with other items that I have used. For instance, if one transaction includes baby towels, burpy clothes and 3 month onesies, but my baby outgrows the onesies before we could even use them, I can't return the towels and burpy cloths because we use them. If I return the onesies that were full price just 3 months ago, I would only get $.49 because they were already clearanced and I earned Kohls cash. So, it would be pointless to return the onesies. I'm not allowed an even exchange. I can't use the onesies. And, suddenly, the total purchase price, considering that I only will end up with towels and burpy cloths that I can use, does not seem like a good deal at all. It seems like a bad deal.

I agree with everything you said! I refuse to buy anything from Kohls for this same reason!

Ok, stick to the main point in your complaint. You started out mainly complaining about not being able to exchange a Fisher Price toy your bought with another one as an even exchange.

Then you went off on some other tangent about baby clothes, previous returns, etc, etc. No one has time to read an entire book. As far as not being able to exchange the Fisher Price toy, prices can and do change, including the MSRP. It's very possible either Fisher Price or Kohl's lowered the MSRP for good reason.

As far as the amount of your refund, you failed to mention in your complaint how much you actually paid for the toy you were bringing back. If you used any Kohl's Cash, rewards coupons, and/or percent-off coupons then of course your return is going to be what the final amount is you paid for it after any discounts were applied.

No need to be rude. Yes, prices do change.

However, the price and msrp that the item was purchased at should be honored when doing an even exchange. I simply wanted to return the toy for another toy with the same msrp that I could have purchased for the same price in my original transaction. With the devalued msrp, I was not allowed to exchange the defective fp toy for the same exact fp toy. (Motion sensors on the toy i received arrived broken).

Earning Kohls cash made the purchase a great deal. However, I would lose the cash by simply returning the item as my purchase would no longer meet the dollar threshold. I'm not trying to cheat the system. I just wanted a toy that wasn't broken on arrival.

Can you not see that I'm stuck with some crummy options?? I can keep a defective toy, return my entire transaction (all the toys I bought if I haven't gifted them yet) or receive very little back for a toy (what's the point then?) because Kohls cash earned is deducted from the first item returned. And, yes, other baby returns have been a hassle as well. Not what I was expecting from "hassle-free" returns with all the receipts.

And, no, I would only ever expect to get back the money I paid. Or, an even exchange.

I'm not looking to get free kohl's cash. But, I am not looking to get burned either.
