Trying to make you cancel order so you loose the deals they offer

I bought pillows with all the deals offered and my rewards. It was to be ready at a store near my home. But when I went to get it they said it was at a store an hour away. When I asked it be corrected they told me to cancel order and reorder knowing I would loose all the incentives! If you don’t want to sell items with incentives don’t offer them!!!

Any manager would have been happy to override the prices and recreate your deal once you showed receipt and explained. I have had a similar experience and the managers always happily accommodate me. I love Kohls!!

Bad customer care

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
On April 2nd, 2019 I contacted Kohls charge via chat to let them know that there was an order was duplicated on my statement (twice the same number). Something that was very clear to see on the statement, same day, same number, same amount. I was told that they were going to credit the account. On April 18th the account was still showing the charge and the amount as owed plus a charge for non payment in time. Once more I contacted Kohls via the online chat to no avail. The same day I sent a letter to Kohl's Credit P.O. Box (stated on Kohls credit website) with all the back up documentation including both chat print outs, transaction history, copy of the original transaction that was duplicated and paid once, and as of today no action was taken to solve the problem by Kohl's.

1 missed payment reported to credit bureau

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was reported to a credit bureau after ONE missed payment, for a bill I NEVER RECEIVED, even after I spoke with them TWICE on the phone to resolve it. I've been a customer there for years and have spent thousands... it was a completely stupid way to lose a customer. Customer support happily closed my account, no remorse, no apologies. "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" Absolutely vile. My credit score has dropped from "excellent" to "good" as a consequence of this. I have challenged this with TransUnion and you can be sure I am leaving a negative review in absolutely every place I can find to leave reviews. WHO DOES THAT? WHO REPORTS A 1-MONTH DELINQUENCY TO A CREDIT BUREAU? No other store for which I've had a card. They should seriously be ashamed of themselves.

Yet another complainer who feels "victimized" for something that's their OWN fault. *rolls eyes* ....

You are the one responsible for keeping up with your bills and when they are due regardless of whether or not you receive a bill. Many creditors are not required to send you bill.

If you've had a Kohl's Charge for "years" and spent "thousands" as your complaint states, then you should know when your payments typically come due. They have every right to report a late payment on your credit report.

Guest

Don't blame them. You are the one that missed your payment.

If you've been a customer for years you should know when to expect a bill. If it didn't get there you should have checked what you owe.

They did nothin g wrong. When you make payments on them they have reported them, when you miss one they report it as well.

Worst company ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was a loyal Kohl's costumer I often spent most my weekends on this store, Im Hispanic about 4 years ago I lived the most embarrassing experience in this store in NY they made me feel like a criminal. I was doing shopping with my 3 years old daughter and for a moment I lost my daughter inside the store while I we were walking I start calling her name and an employee gave my daughter back to me then we went to cashier to pay I spent that day more than $200 when we were about to leave the store a security guy stopped us by the exit door and told me I Have to go to security room because my 3 years old daughter stole something from the store i immediately turn to my child and she didnt nothing with her so we went to room and guess what he told my daughter took a candy and ate it while i was paying I told the guy if that was the problem i would pay for it and was apologize and treat me like a criminal and told me i was a bad mother because my daughter got lost at the store for few minutes I think this act was most racist he make sign a paper where u can't never come back to any khols store and saying if my daughter were older he would call the police he took me a picture and kick me off from the store my worstest experience i never came back to the store anymore and I ended up closing my account this place is a nasty place how u will try a kid like that sorry I forgot we are Hispanic.

Learn proper punctuation. Your complaint is difficult to read without sentences.

Additionally, learn to be a responsible parent and keep tabs on your kid at all times, especially when your kid is of that age. You can't just let your kid wander off. Kohl's does not provide babysitting services. Also, it was apparent the Loss Prevention officer saw your kid on camera taking candy and eating it.

Had you have been watching your kid you would have seen what she was up to and taught her a lesson. You had to mention that you were Hispanic in your complaint twice.

How is that relevant? Nice try throwing up the race card, if that was your intent.

Sentences and paragraphs are your friend. Both make a post Much easier to read and understand.

Kohls in Livonia, Michigan

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I visited this store this morning to shop for underwear for myself and my husband. I first went to the men's section, which by the way, obviously you aren't trying very hard in the men's area, however when I was looking for underwear almost all the shelves were EMPTY and what was left were a bunch of open packages and empty packages. I then decided to give the women's section a try, the shelves were full, but everything was tossed around. Some packages actually had the size crossed off and a different size marked with a black marker. I actually have noticed a downfall in Kohl's in the past couple of years, but I always try to give them a chance. This store in Livonia was a replacement of one they had in Farmington Hills, Michigan, which was actually a great store. But it was shut down and relocated to Livonia. Bad move. My favorite store is in Taylor, Michigan, but is a bit of a drive.

That's none of your business. It's beyond me why people like you have a need to judge others what they do with their money and what they shop for.

There is such a thing as getting an life and a hobby, while shutting your mouth and minding your business.

Maybe you need to get taught and educated onto that. Unless if you want someone to scream and shout that into your face!

Now now calm down you’re ranting a little too hard there. I KNOW how you feel but their ignorance isn’t a problem you have to address.

Unfortunately I just noticed that the ship to address was wrong as Melinda Browne has moved. Was hoping that since the package is still in transit that we could reroute it.

They have every right to close your account, especially if aren't making the required payments each month. Kohl's isn't going to feel sorry for you for having dark clouds hanging over you.

They are not a crisis agency. They are in the business of making money and obviously you are not helping by not keeping up with your account balances and being responsible.

Guest

"two deaths and a suicide in the beginning of Feb." If you killed yourself then how can be on here telling your sob story?????

Guest

If your credit rating fell they had all rights to close your account. They are in business to make money, they are not a social agency to help you with the problems in your life.

What exactly is your complaint about? No handicapped parking?

No handicap ramps? No handicap doors?

Not sure what you are complaining about. Most stores have plenty of handicap parking spaces and doors that provide automatic openings.

Kohls - Unauthorized charges
Kohls - Unauthorized charges - Image 2
Beware of money with this company!!!! I ordered $117.28 some pick up and some delivered. (This became the worst mistake and realized how corrupt this company is) Right after making my purchase I checked my bank account to see what my new balance was. I had approx. $83 and change. Later on in the morning, I received a text from my bank giving me my balance. My balance was not close to the $83. So I logged in to find out that there was another charge from Kohls for $53.13 (Not authorized). I called Kohls right away to find out what was happening, did someone steal my card info and try to order from there too? Close, the company itself stole the money. They are also trying to say it’s not them it’s the bank that is charging it. (the bank won’t just hold/pend something unless the company tells them to, as if there was a purchase). Kohls also said that they would hold that money till I go in and pick up my items. The amount of my purchases being picked up was not even close to the $53.13, (so where they got that number I am not sure); But that $53.13 was because I made the choice to pick up some items. I picked up my items asap so I could get my money back. It did go back the $53.13 BUT they split up my transaction; pickups, delivery -- Making 2 transactions $46.66 and $64.15 = $110.81, the difference I am to assume is 1 from the ship to store item, which was approx. $7. That amount has yet to hit my account for a hard post and is not pending either, but its available for pick up. The company is fully aware of the fraud that they are doing, and the only reason they probably aren’t getting in trouble is because the non-authorized amounts never hard post to the account and it’s hard to file fraud or push more when something just pends. This type of fraud can screw someone up really bad, and there is no one to help them if this company takes everything they have and then some. They won’t pay for overdraft fees, or late payment fees of bills you have to pay; if they hold your money till you get the items from the store. Don’t get yourself screwed over by shopping with Kohls because . I am a more fortunate one that they didn't pull more money than authorized then they did for some people.

This also just happened to me! I placed an order on Black Friday for $76.51, and they've taken additional pending charges totaling $202.52 from my bank account!

Even though they eventually release the pending charges (7-10 business days), this is THEFT. Once this order all comes in, I am DONE with Kohl's FOREVER.

You would be wise to 1. not use a debit card or allow anyone to just take money from your bank account and 2.

keep a bigger balance in your checking account in the future.

A good rule of thumb is to keep at least $1,000 in checking and the rest in savings as you can always transfer online from savings to checking when events require it. Because of the very low balance you have in your checking account are we to assume you keep most of your savings in, say mutual funds or similar?

Keep more money in your checking account ..................... that way thieves have a bigger payout from your account. Great advice Clark Howard JR.

I'd hand up on you to. If you can't write a complete post I doubt you were able to hold an intelligent conversation on the phone either. If you can't present your case, there is no need to listen to you.

Online order stalled

I placed an order online and used a gift card as payment. After entering all of the information and clicking payment the order would not go through and there was no message indicating the reason why. I tried many times and it did the same thing every time. So I just got off the phone with customer service (which was a JOKE) and now I'm furious. It turns out that on gift card orders you have to enter your own credit card information. That is unbelievable because my total was less than my gift card amount. I finally asked to speak to a manager and of course he was from a different country and didn't speak very clear English. Why am I not surprised!! So he told me the same thing but had nothing to offer when I said there was nothing on the order page that said any reason why the order wasn't going through. And further why should a customer be required to give a credit card when the amount of the purchase is less than the amount of the gift card. I got very upset with him and told him I wouldn't be doing business with Kohl's ever again!!! I AM FURIOUS!!!!!!!! Angry Angry

Refund

My Kohl’s cash from Black Friday was stolen so I’ve been dealing with multiple people to get it reinstated since before Christmas. I was told to make my purchase on my VISA and they would refund the kohl’s cash amount. Have been promised multiple times it would show up in 7 days. Still have seen it. Now the amount has been reduced and I’m still getting the promise that it will occur in the next 7 days. I’m not holding my breath.

Does anybody pay full price?

Does anyone every pay full price for anything at Kohl's? It would be great if they had reasonable prices everyday. I won't step foot in their stores without a 30% coupon. Today I purchased 2 shirts with a $50 price tag. They were on sale for $24.99 then deduct my 30% coupon for a final price of $17.49 each. The cashier let me know I saved $65.02. Sorry Kohls, I don't feel I saved $65.02, I feel I wasn't overcharged $65.02.

You got two shirts for half price, got 30% off the sale prices and you were told how much money you saved overall. So what exactly is your complaint about?

Guest

Well, JC Penney tried the reasonable prices every day model and it almost killed the company. They still haven't recovered, and probably won't. So, it would be foolish for Kohls to change their business model, especially since they are doing so well compared to their competitors.

Machele Imf

Ah! I see you recognized the scam Kohl's has been playing.

Their clothes are over-priced and the weekly coupons will sometimes bring the prices down to a reasonable level but if you go into a Kohl's and pay the sticker price you are foolish. Actually, even with a coupon or a discount, the prices are very high.

Best to shop at stores when they have clearances, especially at end of seasons like Walmart, etc. Face it, most clothes now come from some foreign land regardless of the brand.

Jewelry department couldn’t get help

Wanted to buy an expensive piece of jewelry but it was crowded (day before Mother's Day) and only one clerk. So while waiting I continued to look at the jewelry display cases.

People were standing all over waiting for service. After standing there for 45 minutes and her taking people who came after me I ask for assistance and she claimed others were first, which was not true. She would not wait on me.

I reported it to the manager saying she coukdn’t Keep track of who was coming first and she may need help since there were too many customers needing help. 30 minutes later she was still working alone

They list a couple big purchases

To not continue losing big purchases in their jewelry department they should have customers take a number if they have one clerk especially if the clerk can’t keep track who comes first
