I purchased a pair of boots online from Kohl's on 11/3/11. I was sent a e-mailing on 11/5/11 that the item that I ordered was cancelled without any explanation. Annoyed I called customer service to inquire as to why, and was told the item was no longer available. Really annoyed its been my past experience with on-line shopping is when you select a item you are told if it is available or not. Not only did they not have the item, they also took the money off my credit card for the item".

When I inquired as to why did I pay for the item if it wasn't available/. I received no response to that question, but was told that my money will be available in 1 to 5 days?. Of course they are going to make me wait the full 5 days, that starts from the day of the notification?. Basically a whole week to receive my funds back on my credit card;. The kicker that really pissed me off is that I use prepaid cards for online shopping?. I had reserved enough funds on that card specifically to make that purchase,. Now, what has my blood boiling is I recieved a coupon from another retailer that has the item, and the coupon is a special VIP coupon for 40% off any purchase:. The coupon expires tomorrow, and Kohl's has not returned the funds back on my credit card.

Bottom line is I strongly feel that what they did was totally unethical. Kohl's s_ucks!! My shopping days with Kohl's are over!! 128be82

Okay, first I thought TheKohlsExtraordinaire worked for Kohl's because of the narrow minded responses posted to several Kohl's complaints. I have now come to the conclusion that TheKohlsExtraordinaire author works for another retail outlet. It is hard to believe that any intelligent person would use such condescending and vulgar language in hopes of attracting customers to Kohls. Seriously, TheKohlsExtraordinaire needs to find something more constructive to do with their time.

Wow 'alwaysunique', how long did it take you to come up with that kind of a lame response that has absolutely nothing to do with the submitted review?

It's obvious Kohl's is attracting more and more of the dumb Walmart crowd like yourself.

Wow, It's obvious thay Kohls Extrodiniaire works for the Kohls Corporation! I hope they are paying you well like all the other Capitalist pigs that have distroyed our economy and have made us the laughing stock of the entire world. Can you spell Capitalism? Yeah, I'm sure you can, your twisted belief system depends on taking advantage of unaware consumers that are willing to hand over their credit cards without question meanwhile losing all sense of dignity and self-respect. Most consumers have lost what little respect they had because of Capitalist Corporations like Kohls that have just beat all sense of morality and sound judgement that they once had.

same thing happened to me, but it was 3 weeks later and i had to contact them to ask where my coffee maker was. i even got a shipping tracking number only to be then told the item was no longer available- well then why did you take my order and lead me to believe i was getting what i ordered? I could have gotten a better price within the last 2 weeks if only i had known that kohls was going to screw me. i'm never shopping at kohls again- at least you could give me a similar item at the same price!

Wow, Kohl's employees attacking an upset former customer. Maybe you should consider the issue of charging for merchandise you know you don't have before you go off on the customer!

First of all, learn how to spell and use proper punctuation! So you think it's the fault of Kohl's that you don't have your money back after 5 days when in fact each credit card company and/or financial institution has a policy written in the "Cardholder Agreement" that says it can sometimes take as long as 30 days for money to be credited to your account as a result of returned or canceled merchandise? All Kohl's is responsible for is transmitting the refund request to your credit card company. I would be blaming your credit card company and not writing some baseless excuse for not being able to receive an item you probably didn't need in the first place!
