Due to the fact that her husband isn't working because he is battling cancer she decided they couldn't afford the purchases. She returned the merchandise from the first visit and the second one in which she had used the Kohl's cash.
The total of the first visit was $213.00. They only credited her credit card with $177.00 and gave her "store-credit" for the remaining $36.00. because she had used Kohl's cash towards the second purchase. I told them she didn't want store-credit. She wanted the total of the first purchase applied to her credit card.
After speaking with the associate and a manager they stated "yes it's confusing" but because she used Kohl's cash they could only give store credit.
1. She didn't use Kohl's cash for the initial purchase.
2.She returned the items purchased with Kohl's cash from the second visit.
3. She continues to have a balance on her credit card for items returned.
4. she's being forced to spend $36.00 in their store that she doesn't want in order to get her money back.
My sister went home and cancelled her Kohl's credit card. Kohl's lost 2 customers today over $36.00 and you can bet I will be telling all my friends about this. 128bae9

Written by BettyElyse on March 20, 2012 from peoria, arizona, US Okay, first I thought TheKohlsExtraordinaire worked for Kohl's because of the narrow minded responses posted to several Kohl's complaints. I have now come to the conclusion that TheKohlsExtraordinaire author works for another retail outlet. It is hard to believe that any intelligent person would use such condescending and vulgar language in hopes of attracting customers to Kohls. Seriously, TheKohlsExtraordinaire needs to find something more constructive to do with their time. |
2. Written by Anonymous on March 19, 2012 from raleigh, north carolina, US So you're expecting something for free? If someone gave you $170 dollars, I'm guessing you don't want to give them $210 back. Not to mention all of your "issues" are CLEARLY PRINTED ON BOTH YOUR KOHLS CASH & RECEIPT!!
3. Written by TheKohlsExtraordinaire on November 25, 2011 from charlotte, north carolina, US Oh, give us a break! All you had to do was read the bottom of each receipt when you made your purchases. It clearly says that any merchandise that was purchased with Kohl's Cash will be refunded to you via a Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit (a.k.a. store credit). But do people bother reading the fine print on their receipts??? No, because that would be too difficult now wouldn't it?

5. Written by The Kohl's Commander on November 18, 2011 from cicero, illinois, US Your sister's husband probably isn't going to make it long anyhow, so don't buy him clothes. If you want to shop for something, shop for some nice flowers or invitations to the funeral. Why some might think this is mean, it is actually honest, logical, and valuable by nature. At Kohl's its a free for all, and if you have to rope in sympathy when you sign up for an unfair policy, then you are spinning out of control. Read the fine print, get a better paying job, cut the husband off, and have a nice day. =)
6. Written by cohena2 on November 15, 2011 from ellicott city, maryland, US Next time your sister shouldn't buy more than she can spend. Especially if her husband is unemployed. Thats common sense that even s1mpletons such as yourself should be able to understand. Your sister should also be able to write her own review.
7. Written by sessa on November 15, 2011 from raleigh, north carolina, US No need to regret your complaint. You have a perfectly valid complaint for what seems like a confusing and somewhat unfair policy, and you have a perfect right to express your opinion. Tasha is a bitterly unhappy, deeply immature internet troll who gets her kicks insulting people.
8. Written by anonymous on November 15, 2011 from milton, pennsylvania, US Let me start by saying my sister had nothing to do with my post. The associate and the manager who helped us were both very polite and kind. They did explain their policy and I realize every company has its policies that the employees must follow. I regret posting this.I have never used a site like this before and I had a moment of poor judgement when I did so.
