Never knew Kohl's was racist until I applied for their new call center in Dallas. I have over 20 years of call center customer service experience.

When I applied, I was given a phone interview with a young black girl. She told me that I have all the experience and qualifications they are looking for and they pay from 12-16.00 per hour and I should be able to obtain the higher end of the pay scale. She told me to take the assessment online and if passed, it would schedule for an interview. I passed and then went to the interview.

I was in the waiting room with 4 whites and 3 blacks. They separated the whites and blacks. I then interviewed with another young black girl which just lied to me so much to get me out. I then got a call to let me know they are not going to offer me the job.

Don't know if the other white people were hired or not.

Everything I saw in the new call center seemed centered around black people. Seems kind of strange they were excited to get me in until they saw I was white.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Well where I am in the midwest there is a kohls store up north where the decent section of kansas city is and I applied twice for a cashier position at that location and I was never hired for those positions but two of my white female friends when they called about their applications for employment there they where told by the hiring management there they had positions open and available but when I called and went in person to follow up the manager there told me they where not hiring at all. So apparently all my retail experience, college education, self employment in owning my own retail business, military management background did not even matter to the hiring managers because my white female friends where more of a fit and they where told the store was hiring but when I called and went in person applied suddenly they are not hiring. I guess that store management has a bias in hiring african american males for cashier positions because all I see when I enter the store working as cashiers is white females and other females but I have never seen a black man working as a cashier there.

I have seen Kohl's ads on a website called Godlikeproductions, which the moderators there are openly racist against black and other minorities. I will not be shopping at kohls, any longer and will be letting other people know that kohls ad dollars is going to support this openly racist website.

Wow! So not only are you a racist, but you're a sore loser as well.

Maybe you should stick to flipping burgers and fries for a living since that's how you sound. Hope your application got thrown in the trash.

Well you are dead wrong when the stated positions that are open and available and I have more than ample qualifications and experience than less qualified applicants are hired then you have no reason to argue with me that it is okay to hire someone else who has less qualifications and they are considered a better fit than you? Now the same applies if you where white and they selected black applicants and hired them over you.

well racism is all colors not just blacks people who are not affected like to use other reasons like saying if the person discriminated against was just using an excuse or finding a reason to discredit any statement about racism. However I cant say that every Kohls store or every Kohls employees with the exception of those ones who choose to discriminate,

Nice way to throw up the race card as a way to defend yourself from being sore loser! Your comments are even making the KKK shake their heads at you.

Well I have many white friends and I know one good female friend who is not racist by far and by us going in there and shopping I have noticed a lack of minorities working as higher managers so the race card in this instance is not played out but a reality with kohls.

no if race if the reason to disqualify or discredit an applicant then there must be some evidence shown it was race related however employers will use every reason in the book to say it wasn't you when it was.

This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever read. You think you weren't hired because you are white?! LMAO!

First B

Oh you were not qualified, nothing to do with your skin colour

Guest

LOL! If you want to allege something as serious as racism, it would help if you have at least ONE fact to back up your claim.

You literally have none. This is a major case of sore loser.

Sorry you didn't get the call center job...I'm sure it would have been life changing. ;-)

......How do you now the girl on the phone was black?

"Don't know if the other white people were hired or not." So the other 3 white people could have been hired and you would have no idea. Wow, I've never heard a more baseless accusation for racism.

Guest

Good luck with that. They will call you a racist.
